Last year, we received some requests for shirts and hats to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer during October. Our Marketing and Communications Intern, Mandy Stover, has taken this request and has some great things lined up!
The first thing is there is a NEW Co-Mo Connect Breast Cancer Awareness Apparel Store! You can access the online store here (https://stores.inksoft.com/co-mo_pink_store/shop/home). In the store, you will find some great items, including some apparel embroidered with a brand-approved pink version of our logo and some great t-shirt designs that Mandy created! The t-shirts include options that are Bella Canvas so they are a bit softer and some that are Gildan which are 100% cotton. The t-shirts will be screen printed on the front and back. Only the polos, Ladies Tread Henley, and hats will be embroidered.
Proceeds from employee apparel purchases will be donated to local cancer charities and groups! We are currently looking into which organizations would be best to donate to, so if you have ideas, let us know by filling out this survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PHWHGQB
The shirts listed under embroidery items are good to wear throughout the week, while the t-shirts shown on the site will be Friday only (unless otherwise approved), so keep that in mind when ordering!
Orders must be placed by Aug. 26 at noon to help ensure we have the items back and distributed by Oct. 1 so you can wear them during the month!

For those curious about what else we are doing, we are in the process of coordinating with SSM Health, Capital Region, JCMG, and Lake Regional to get their breast cancer awareness information for distribution that we can provide in our lobbies and during a couple of events this October. We will also be giving out pink light bulbs for people to use as their porch lights to help “go pink”. We will also be going pink in October by lighting up the front of the Tipton HQ office and LBC with bright pink floodlights!
